Planting Trees at Oakstown

O’Reilly Oakstown are enthusiastic about boosting our Green Strategy for carbon neutral production in our plant.

In 2021, the O’Reilly Group planted two fields of trees at the Oakstown plant in Trim, Co. Meath. Roughly 15,000 trees were planted, a mixture of both coniferous and spruce trees, which will help to address the worldwide issue of climate change.

The fields are spread across 11 acres of land at the facility. This forest will absorb up to 170 tonnes of CO2 per year. In 10 years’ time, O’Reilly Oakstown will be surrounded by vast forestry and wildlife. It is a small development that will make a big impact for the future of our planet and generations to come.
